| After a
wonderful year of fun and frolic, Kenzi lost her fight with
lymphoma on August 22, 2006. Even knowing that the
clock ticked away the days of Kenzi's life, made it no easier to
accept the inevitable. Kenzi took part in several
research programs for the fight against lymphoma in Golden
Retrievers. We all hope she will have added to the future
of others diagnosed with the disease.
Kenzi will be dearly missed by Shar and
Norm. Kenzi was "more than a companion" to Shar. She
was her "rock, in times of need, and making her laugh and
showing her how to have fun." She lived for three things;
swimming, agility, and her partnership with Shar.
Great thanks to Shar and Norm, for
giving Kenzi the best life a golden could ask for.
October 7,
2005, Kenzi & Shar effortlessly pick up the few remaining points
needed for their MACH2! What an awesome time they have
had! And, what a joy they are to watch!
September 9,
2005 won't soon be forgotten! While attending a Regional
Qualifier in Dallas, TX, Shar completed the Master Gamble, to
complete Kenzi's ADCH! This in itself would be incredible,
but add the shocking news that Kenzi has been diagnosed with
lymphoma, and has received her first two chemo treatments, and
you see the importance of enjoying each and every moment in
their life together. Kenzi ran with complete abandon and
barked for joy the entire way. Way to go Team!
Kenzi finished
her MACH (Master Agility Championship) title on August 1, 2004
and recently
earned her GRCA Agility Dog Hall of Fame award. Kenzi also
earned the right to compete in both AKC Nationals and USDAA
Worlds in 2003 & 2004. Kenzi also placed in the top 10 in 2004
for GRCA agility Goldens, placed 2nd in the Colorado team
competition at the 2004 AKC National Championships and was in
the top 20% in the overall 20" competition.
June 26th's news is that Kenzi
has added a Junior Hunter title to her list of accomplishments.
Yet one more notch on the pole! |
